Lalitha Sahasranama - merits of reading it

At the end of the navaratri period - wanted to mention about the merits of reciting Lalita Sahasranama.

If a person recites the stotra thrice a day for one month, Goddess Saraswati/Bharati dances at the tip of one's tongue - speech becomes very profound. And if one recites it once a day for six months, Goddess Laxmi will stay with him ever.

But there is lot of caution built around it...
Details here http://www.geocities.com/srigant/lalitha.html

"Mere reading of Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam washes away our ignorance & sins & makes us a purified soul. The most important thing to be noted is that, we should do it with devotion. If one could do it with involvement & devotion, Sri Matha will shower her graces on them & give them salvation after death & bless them with all the pleasures & wealth in this world. Not only devotion, any work that's done without involvement & devotion, would be useless."

Lalitha Sahasranama is referred to as the "rahasyanAma sAhasri" (the most secret
sahasranAma). Lord Hayagreeva, who taught LS to sage Agastya warns:

"na shaTAya na dhushtAya na vishwAsAya karhichith | shrii maathr
Bhakthi yukthAya shriividhyA rAja vEdhinE ||"
[this sacred sahasranAma shall not be taught to a person who is
adamant, evil, and an infidel. Also, a person who lacks pure devotion
towards the Universal Mother and who is not initiated into the
Shriividya shall not be taught the same...]

Proper pronounciation is required, should be chanted / recited and also have complete regard for all women as his own mother; or else it will earn him the wrath of the Divine Mother.
Lalita Sahasranama can be chanted after initiated into Bala Tripura Sundari mantra.

Welcome to the spirituality blog

This blog is an offshoot of a website that I had conceived as a result of the spiritual grace and resultant inspiration during Shivaratri Y2K (http://www.jyotirlinga.com) on the joy of Shiva Bhakti and my quest for spiritual progress. Not finding the time (yep, bad excuse!), this blog suits me fine in quickly adding content... my spiritual forays and thoughts - helps log them too. My spiritual journey started with Hinduism and it's simple stories/ teachings as far back as when I was a 2nd grader, with Lord Shiva and has now found convergence with Advaitism / Duality. The Advaitism gurus like Bhagwan Ramana Maharishi, Nisargadatta Maharaj; they have provided that spiritual boost of energy in many lagging moments and have tremendously influenced me ... little baby steps at a time... that will hopefully all lead upto a final crescendo. The merits of satsangh are many!
