Iraq - the state of affairs

Wonder where that is going...
Saddam Hussein was sitting pretty and someone had the idea to go hunt for terrorists in Iraq for no fault of his own. And couple years later he is found like an ordinary criminal hiding in his cave.
But where is all this going...?

The history is usually a done deal.
Bush, whether it was the smart thing or not - did as he was compelled by his circumstances to force our troops into Iraq and in the blink of an eyelid, we hvae 600,000 Iraqis dead and 3000 American soldiers dead, leaving behind tons of friends and families to grieve forever...

Wonder where all this is going. No end in sight. And how this turn of events, Iraq invasion, to Democratic victory, is going to play out in world history. I am sure divyadrishti has some clear thoughts on how it will be playing out. So, did Bush have some influence over it? I doubt it, he is just complying with his role in the big scheme and what has to happen will happen.

We are entrusted with making the right choices - that befits the world and the people - but beyond that we are not in much control.

Welcome to the spirituality blog

This blog is an offshoot of a website that I had conceived as a result of the spiritual grace and resultant inspiration during Shivaratri Y2K (http://www.jyotirlinga.com) on the joy of Shiva Bhakti and my quest for spiritual progress. Not finding the time (yep, bad excuse!), this blog suits me fine in quickly adding content... my spiritual forays and thoughts - helps log them too. My spiritual journey started with Hinduism and it's simple stories/ teachings as far back as when I was a 2nd grader, with Lord Shiva and has now found convergence with Advaitism / Duality. The Advaitism gurus like Bhagwan Ramana Maharishi, Nisargadatta Maharaj; they have provided that spiritual boost of energy in many lagging moments and have tremendously influenced me ... little baby steps at a time... that will hopefully all lead upto a final crescendo. The merits of satsangh are many!
