We are the ONE

From here

I believe that there is only ONE consciousness in the Cosmos, and that each of us are holographic “facets” of that ONE. (You know: God. The Creator. All That Is. Jehovah. Vishnu. Allah. Buddha Mind. Ahura Mazda. Shang Ti. Jah. Leroy. Take your pick, or substitute whatever you prefer.) By “holographic,” I mean that characteristic of a hologram whereby you can break off a piece, hold it up to the light, and -
voila! - you still have the whole enchilada. I personally think that’s more than “just” a metaphor. (I guess the “enchilada” reference also makes it more than just one metaphor. Take two. They’re free.)

It follows, at least for me, that when
we create, it is really The ONE still creating, and when we expand our consciousness, and our Imagination, it is The ONE still expanding. If you fancy the hologram thing, or are willing to consider it, then why would it be goofy to also imagine that there may be elements of our “selves” that we share with the One, but that aren’t necessarily limited to awareness of the quotidian, get-up-when-the-alarm-goes-off-and-go-to-work, “reality?”

Welcome to the spirituality blog

This blog is an offshoot of a website that I had conceived as a result of the spiritual grace and resultant inspiration during Shivaratri Y2K (http://www.jyotirlinga.com) on the joy of Shiva Bhakti and my quest for spiritual progress. Not finding the time (yep, bad excuse!), this blog suits me fine in quickly adding content... my spiritual forays and thoughts - helps log them too. My spiritual journey started with Hinduism and it's simple stories/ teachings as far back as when I was a 2nd grader, with Lord Shiva and has now found convergence with Advaitism / Duality. The Advaitism gurus like Bhagwan Ramana Maharishi, Nisargadatta Maharaj; they have provided that spiritual boost of energy in many lagging moments and have tremendously influenced me ... little baby steps at a time... that will hopefully all lead upto a final crescendo. The merits of satsangh are many!
