Lord Shiva and the universe

Namaste
I wish to share a small but personal experience with you. Everyday when I do puja, I would always offer flowers to Rudra, Vishnu and Brahma.
( It is written that Brahma should not be worshiped in this Yuga due to the lie he told, I have not disobeyed this but pay homage in reverence to the creator for I am not his judge.)

One day in meditation I saw Lord Shiva ( literally pluck me out of my body ) and then my consciousness began to expand exponentially, what I was able to see were all planets and stars etc.. then I began to expand my awareness even more, then I saw a Golden Egg, then all I saw was darkness... however when I looked up I saw Lord Shiva again except that in his body was Vishnu, Brahma and Rudra.

What I was made to understand from this is that... He Lord Shiva contains all things within himself and all are his expressions

Namah Sivaya
Best Regards
Pandit Devindra Maharaj

Welcome to the spirituality blog

This blog is an offshoot of a website that I had conceived as a result of the spiritual grace and resultant inspiration during Shivaratri Y2K (http://www.jyotirlinga.com) on the joy of Shiva Bhakti and my quest for spiritual progress. Not finding the time (yep, bad excuse!), this blog suits me fine in quickly adding content... my spiritual forays and thoughts - helps log them too. My spiritual journey started with Hinduism and it's simple stories/ teachings as far back as when I was a 2nd grader, with Lord Shiva and has now found convergence with Advaitism / Duality. The Advaitism gurus like Bhagwan Ramana Maharishi, Nisargadatta Maharaj; they have provided that spiritual boost of energy in many lagging moments and have tremendously influenced me ... little baby steps at a time... that will hopefully all lead upto a final crescendo. The merits of satsangh are many!
