Osho's experience of enlightenment - worth reading, meditation technique worth trying

Reading Osho's autobiography "Autobiography of a Spiritually Incorrect Mystic" , can't help but develop admiration for Osho's personality, the reckless abandon with which he lived and enjoyed life, is something that none can ever repeat, try as you may. There is a strange karma behind his presence on earth and his audacity to defile the system in place. Many of us may have tried it, lived Osho's creed albeit for a second or a minute or for a day, but we were always concilatory to the last straw that finally broke our back. Osho could substain it and substain it forever. That itself is something to admire him for. He called a Donkey a Donkey, and didn't mince any words doing it. His autobiography book is drooling with his personality, so visible and apparent and so very funny too, I was laughing to the point of tears.

His description of enlightenment makes it very real and reachable.
It is certainly attainable for you and me.
I really wonder what Osho said about Ramana Maharishi and what would Ramana have said about Osho.
Probably Ramana would not have cared either way.
Osho had a view about everyone and everything.
What did Osho say about the ten thousand Gods.
He did belittle Jesus and Krishna - just to jolt society.
Many of the things he didn't mean, but just attention gathering I think, and to keep himself interesting.

Here it is - Osho's description of his enlightenment at 21.
The complete book is here, so read it for sure.

Here is the Osho interpretation of Shivji's VIGYAN Bhairav Tantra (Lord Shiva revealed the secrets of the universe to Goddess Parvati)

Welcome to the spirituality blog

This blog is an offshoot of a website that I had conceived as a result of the spiritual grace and resultant inspiration during Shivaratri Y2K (http://www.jyotirlinga.com) on the joy of Shiva Bhakti and my quest for spiritual progress. Not finding the time (yep, bad excuse!), this blog suits me fine in quickly adding content... my spiritual forays and thoughts - helps log them too. My spiritual journey started with Hinduism and it's simple stories/ teachings as far back as when I was a 2nd grader, with Lord Shiva and has now found convergence with Advaitism / Duality. The Advaitism gurus like Bhagwan Ramana Maharishi, Nisargadatta Maharaj; they have provided that spiritual boost of energy in many lagging moments and have tremendously influenced me ... little baby steps at a time... that will hopefully all lead upto a final crescendo. The merits of satsangh are many!

Your comments (encouragement/ otherwise) are certainly welcome. Thanks for visiting. If you like it, Subscribe to my blog (click here):Posts (Atom).
